The 802D4 offers much of the performance of 801D4, included is the same turbine Head enclosure for its midrange cone, yet it is more affordable overall. Perfect for reference-grade stereo listening and also an excellent choice in home theatre applications.
The dedicated midrange cone uses four proprietary Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST, Biometric Suspension and midrange decoupling, the latter ensuring minimal interference from the loudspeaker’s bass drivers.
As with 803D4, 802D4 builds on the proven and highly successful cabinet design of its predecessor, the 802D3. Its midrange motor system has been substantially revised and upgraded, it includes the all-new Biomimetic Suspension for its FST Continuum Cone mid range drive unit, and like 803D4 it introduces both a revised plinth form and Anti-Resonance Plugs for its Aerofoil low-frequency drive units.
