What Hifi Awards 2020

Fair to say he What Hi fi Awards 2020 took place during uncertain days One thing can be relied upon, some of Billy Vees favourite brands picked up major awards

 

 

Top of the tree at this years What Hifi Awards are  Essex based Vinyl Gurus Rega Research with a whopping 6, yes count em, 6 awards. The Planar 1, Planar 3, Planar 6  picked up gongs as well as the Fono MM getting a nod too. Regas amplifiers did well too, their new baby the Io picked up and award as did the Aethos. Another cracking year for Rega at the What Hifi awards. Excellent!

 

 

 

Next up our good friends Naim Audio picked up 4 awards. The Salisbury based Hifi wizards picked up a gong for the Nait XS3 as well as awards for the Mu-so QB 2, The Uniti Atom and The ND5XS2 music streamer. Fabulous, well done guys!

 

 

Chord Company collected three gongs. The company walked away with awards in the accessories category for their Clearway and C Line Interconnects and for their Rumour X Speaker cable. Nice one guys!

 

 

Sonos also picked up a couple of awards. They won best Premium Multiroom system (no surprise). They also picked up best Soundbar for the Beam and the new Arc

In the tradition of all good awards ceremonies, we will move swiftly on to our next category. Loudspeakers.

 

 

 

Three of Billy Vees favourite brands picked up statues here. Firstly, Proac were awarded for their brilliant DT8 and the D2R then Spendor won best speaker in the plus £2000 category for the A7.

Also B&W picked up an award for their impressive bookshelf speaker the 606 S2 Anniversary Edition. Congratulations to these companies!

 

So felicitations to all these winners. Its good to see these companies excellence recognised. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
